GREATER TOPSAIL AREA, N.C. — The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism will present their annual awards at the Sept. 23 membership meeting.

“This event is a celebration of excellence,” said Tammy Proctor, director. “It is a time to report the achievements of the Chamber and honor our members.

Awards presented include:

The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a Chamber member whose service is acknowledged and appreciated.

• Non-Profit of the Year is presented to the organization that makes an impact on our community.
• The Businessperson of the Year is presented to an outstanding businesswoman or businessman who has achieved success and recognition in his/or her field.
• The Hospitality Business of the Year is presented to a tourism-related business that excels in customer service and providing tourists with a true Topsail experience.
• Business of the Year Award is presented to a business that has received recognition, accolades, and community respect.
• The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a long-serving business or a businessperson with a hearty tradition of service in the community.

The event includes a catered lunch by Surf City Line. Hosted by the Historical Society of Topsail Island at the Historic Assembly Building, 720 Channel Blvd. in Topsail Beach. Doors will open at 11 a.m. There will be a silent auction offering Chamber member goods and services.
